Hands cutting leather in Ella Jackson’s Tasmanian studio – traditional hand tools and full grain leatherwork.

Meet Ella Jackson

Leather Artisan & Designer

I’m Ella (El), the designer and maker behind STUDIO Ella Jackson. I work from my Tasmanian studio with a focus on form, material integrity, and restraint.

With more than a decade of experience working with leather, my practice has been shaped by time, curiosity, and continual refinement.

A six-month period of cultural and technical immersion in Florence deepened that foundation - sharpening my approach and reaffirming my commitment to quiet, considered design.

I choose full grain leather for its strength, honesty and ability to age beautifully.

Every piece is made by hand. Slowly. Thoughtfully. Designed to last - not just in construction, but in relevance.

This is leather, refined to its purest expression.

Design Philosophy

I believe in fewer, better things.

Objects should earn their place in our lives through usefulness, durability and quiet beauty.

My approach is guided by restraint rather than excess. I am less interested in trends than I am in creating pieces that feel relevant years from now.

This isn’t fast fashion. It’s a slower rhythm. A quieter kind of luxury.
