Hi, I'm Ella (El) and I am a bag lady in the most glorious sense!
I am the designer and maker behind every Ella Jackson piece. My studio is in Hobart, Tasmania.
I am a true advocate for Slow Fashion and I pride myself on the highest quality materials, uncomplicated design and ethical business practice.
Why Leather?
Working with leather is a privilege. It is such a beautiful textural medium that pays homage to the beast who wore it. It is bold and makes no apologies for its natural characteristics...growth marks, wrinkles and other hallmarks of real leather. I think we should all do the same!
It is a natural, recycled product, exceptionally hard-wearing and is one of very few materials that, when treated with the respect it deserves, gets better with age.
